In order to meet our supply agreements with our customers, Lynx manufacturing Ltd., an associated company located in Calgary, AB, has developed a team of design and fabrication specialists. They custom design and construct XL’s specialized Bulk explosives manufacturing mix/delivery vehicles and storage equipment.

In addition to the above facilities, Explosives Limited operates a fleet of delivery vehicles that range in size from pickups to highway trailers.

In order to meet industry’s changing needs Lynx Manufacturing Ltd., an associated Company located in Calgary, Alberta, has developed a team of design and fabrication specialists. They custom design and construct BXL’s specialized processing equipment. BXL pioneered the design and fabrication of high output, large capacity front discharge explosives delivery vehicles. BXL continues to innovate by developing state-of-the-art SMART TRUCK™ and SMART SYSTEMS technology to provide improved operating efficiencies for our customers.

In addition to custom designed bulk explosives trucks, Lynx Manufacturing Ltd. also provides BXL with modular explosives manufacturing plants, storage magazines, silos, tanks, dewatering, waste oil treatment, pumping and transfer equipment.

SUPPORT EQUIPMENT

Dewatering Trucks

BXL dewatering trucks are used in open pit mining applications to pump static water out of the boreholes prior to commencing loading operations.

Dewatering services provide our customers with the opportunity to make the most economic use of our explosive products.

The high capacity hydraulic pumps mounted on the dewatering trucks allow for fast distcharge of the borehole water resulting in quicker operations at the work site.

Plant

BXL operates one stand-alone and several on-site manufacturing plants producing AN-based emulsion for the later production of SuperAN and Magnafrac explosives. Each plant site is specifically operated to provide a safe environment for the manufacturing of these products, where rigid testing and tight quality control is paramount.

Storage Tanks & silos

On site storage facilities such as those shown are available. Units are designed so that they can be moved to locations close to the bench and/or plant to eliminate long turn around time. Tanks and silos are custom designed, manufactured and installed by BXL personnel.

Waste Oil Treater

At most BXL on site operations we provide the facility of recycling waste oil used in vehicles at the mine. We provide equipment to take the oil and sludge, filter it, and use it in the explosive manufacturing process. This provides our customers with with a great cost-saving benefit in the environmentally sensitive mining business.
